Our Dream Museum Car Show

There was a great turn out for the first annual car show at Our Dream Museum and Restoration.  The show benefited the National Exchange Club and also served as their official ribbon cutting with the Mooresville Chamber.  I showed up about 20 minutes early with hopes to get a good spot to park and to my surprise there were a ton of cars already set up.  I was told people started arriving at 7:30am for a local car show that went from 10 to 4.

It is difficult to compete with such a diverse class of vehicles.  There were newer vehicles like Challenger’s and Camaro’s.  Then you had your hot rod muscle car’s that everyone loves on top of very expensive nicely done full custom hot rods.  There was even a Ferrari, Mercedes AMG. and Porsche in the show all very cool to see.

There wasn’t a Top 10 or 20 and the categories for viewers choice were broken down to ‘Truck, Import, New Muscle and Classic.”  There was one extra trophy which was for “Best Work In Progress” which was chosen by the guys who put on the show.  I was very pleased to be awarded this trophy.  Pop’s 59 Caddy is in great shape but in the end it is still a very old car that sat for a long time.  I had S.L. Customs do a lot of work and they did a great job but I have a lot more that needs to be done and just a few things that I want to do.

I had a new piece to show off at this car show which was done by my friends at Custom Laser Engraving USA.  You will see in the pictures my Pop’s 59 Caddy logo engraved on black acrylic with a mirror inset displayed just behind the grill when the hood is up. I think it looks great and so did everyone who saw it.  They can make anything custom like this if you have anything in mind just give them a call.

Enjoy the pictures from the car show.
