We took Pop’s 59 to the Mooresville 2014 Veteran’s Day Parade.
It was a great experience to take the kids, not just to watch the parade, but to be involved in it too.
They loved riding in the Caddy with Dad, and I was able to hop in the car midway through, after taking a few pictures and be a part of the parade too. It was exciting to see all the “oh” and “ahs” from people when we drove by, the Cadillac definitely seems well loved by the public.
On lookers probably wondered what us youngsters were doing in the Veterans parade, not knowing the Sean and I are both proud veterans. I wished they knew our story. People of every age waved with excitement at us, and we smiled and waved back, just as excited.
It was a surreal moment to be in Pop’s 1959 Cadillac Coupe De Ville, in old town Mooresville, with my kids hanging out the windows, waving American flags to the crowd. Proud mama moment that I will cherish.
This was the debut of the Cadillac in parades, first of many. We have big plans for Pop’s 59 beyond car shows – parades, charity events, photo shoots and more.
