April 4th was the big day for the First Annual Catawba Valley Muscle Car Show held in Denver, North Carolina. The show was put on to benefit the Boston Terrier Rescue of North Carolina. There were 67 registered cars for the show with another 15-20 cars that were unregistered. All together the show raised almost $900 for the Boston Terrier Rescue.
There was everything from a newer lifted Chevy Silverado to Mustangs of all years to a 53 Bel Air and my 1959 Cadillac Coupe De Ville. It is hard to compete with such a wide variety of vehicles especially since my Pop’s 59 Caddy is pretty much old and or original compared to completely restored or custom and new. Nevertheless, Pop’s car did walk away with a Top 20 award along with 19 other people who had very nice cars including a completely custom 41 Willy’s.
